Guess what...I passed my prosthetic boards that I went down to Dallas to take so I am now an official Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist! Woohoo!!! We also celebrated my sister Sadie's 11th birthday at my place last Sunday so I will post some pics of that shindig tonight! (Sorry for the delay)....

Car Buying Experience

So, I didn't actually end up getting a new car yet.  I did go and test drive a 2011 Equinox at Billion Automotive in Iowa City last Friday night though. I have to say, I loved it, but I will NEVER go there again! I didn't think they were ever going to let me leave....and it was after closing time and only me, the guy I was working with, and the GM were there. Yikes! Talk about pressuring! Then they tried to make me feel guilty to making them stay 20 minutes after close....no thank you! I am definitely still interested in the Equinox (and also maybe the Mazda crossover - anyone have any opinions on Mazda's???) but will bee looking at a different dealership next time. However, that might  be somewhat difficult because Billion almost has a monopoly on the car business over here, oh well....I"ll leave you with a comparison of the Equinox and the Mazda I like.

New Car?

So, I'm looking into trading in the VW for a different car. I want something that handles well in the wonderful Iowa winter weather (even though winter SHOULD almost be over), so AWD would be nice. Of course I love, love, love heated seats....and leather interior...so that always ups the price a bit. I have been looking online and think I really like the Equinox from Chevy, here are a couple in Des Moines...the black/gray one is my ideal one. It has leather, heated seats, AWD,.....everything (however, it does also have quite a few more miles....18,000 more to be exact). The burgundy one is also AWD, but doesn't have leather or heated seats...but it is about $3000 cheaper....what to do, what to do! I'll leave you with some pics:



I love this color of car...plus if I EVER get the personalized U of I plates I want it would look great together!
